Luke Beard is a multidisciplinary designer, photographer, creative technologist, and product founder based in Atlanta, Georgia. He works across product strategy, interface design, brand systems, software, photography, and creative direction.

Current work

Luke is Creative Director at Electric Hospitality, the Atlanta restaurant group behind Muchacho, Ladybird, Ranger Station, and Tiger Sun. He leads creative direction across campaigns, menus, marketing, events, and the group’s public brands.

He is also fractional Head of Product at Opulist, a design-led venue discovery app that he designed and built from the founder’s original vision through its 2026 launch. He remains Founder and CEO of Exposure, the photography publishing platform he started in 2013.

Background

Luke’s earlier work includes serving as interim Head of Product at Fohr, Chief Design Officer at Avelo, and co-founding Any Distance. Any Distance won the Apple Design Award for Visual and Graphics in 2023. Luke was also the first designer at autonomous taxi company Voyage and held design roles at Hipstamatic, Buffer, Zerply, and Elepath.

He was born in the United Kingdom, is a dual US and UK citizen, and has lived in Atlanta since 2013. His work joins practical product thinking with a strong visual point of view and direct hands-on execution.
